Do you offer virtual or online services?
Yes! Most of our services — including notary appointments, consultations, and document preparation — can be handled virtually for your convenience. You can connect with us in person, by phone, or online.
What is the maximum amount I can claim in Small Claims Court?
In Ontario, the Small Claims Court allows claims of up to $35,000. We assist both plaintiffs and defendants with document preparation, filings, and representation.
What types of documents can you notarize?
We notarize a wide range of documents including affidavits, statutory declarations, consent letters, real estate documents, and business agreements. If you’re unsure whether your document requires notarization, our team can guide you.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please bring one piece of valid government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license or passport) or two pieces of government-issued non-photo identification (e.g., social insurance card or birth certificate) to your appointment. You must bring the documents you require notarized. Please do not sign any documents until the appointment. Bring the original document and the copies to be certified if you require certified true copies.
Can Myers Legal help with landlord-tenant evictions?
Yes. We assist both landlords and tenants in resolving disputes, preparing notices, and representing your interests at hearings. Our goal is to resolve matters fairly and efficiently.
What is a record suspension (pardon) and can I apply for one?
A record suspension (formerly called a pardon) allows individuals with a criminal record to have it set aside, opening doors to employment, travel, and community opportunities. We guide you through the eligibility requirements and the full application process.
